Jamshedpur to get air connectivity
Co-inciding with my joining XLRI Jamshedpur, Air Deccan might commence operations between Jampot and Calcutta. The Telegraph has this article on the same. Hope the Tatas allow Air Deccan to use their facility. Once this flight becomes operational, I can very well bid adieu to the 36 hour long snail ..err train journey between Jamshedpur and Chennai. (FYI: The direct train between Alleppey and Jamshedpur via Chennai has 100 official stops)

true, but the option is there now
I happen to travel overseas almost every month & the worst part of this travel is between Jamshedpur-Howrah-Kolkata Airport. I am sure everybody has similar experience. Tata's need to provide goahead to AirDeccan for immediate service & AirDeccan should kickoff ASAP.
